Calvin Harris
Medical Student Researcher
My name is Calvin Harris and I am a 2nd year medical student in the Class of 2027 at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. In the Collins Lab I am working on a longitudinal project that is working to develop mature 3D bone organoids to better understand the interindividual healing capacity of bone following lumbar interbody fusion. This work seeks to identify mechanoregulative biomarkers of pseudarthrosis to ultimately serve as a predictive model of per patient bone healing. In my time outside of lab and studying medicine, I enjoy volunteering in my community, weightlifting, and playing sports like basketball and golf.
